IVF
How does IVF work?
Steps involved in the IVF process
What this involves
- Stmulation of the ovaries to form multiple eggs.
- Egg retrieval through a surgical procedure.
- Incubation of eggs in a special dish for a minimum of three hours prior to insemination.
- Transfer of the embryo to your uterus five to seven days post retrieval. An alternate option would be to freeze all embryos.
- Embryo Cryopreservation is a way to store embryos not used in the current cycle or to be used for a future cycle. The embryos can be thawed and transferred to your uterus in a future cycle called as Frozen Embryo Transfer(FET).
- Your doctor will schedule a pregnancy test about two weeks after your embryo transfer.
